What's next?

I'm sitting here, wondering what sort of imagery to share next. Should it be something artsy and nude? Or maybe something moody and monochromatic? I guess if I'm going to jump the shark that is posting nude work on here, I may as well get it over with. So, here is the lovely Dreamscapes taking part in my "playing with light" series.

Didn't make it out last night.

Well, I didn't make it out like I'd planned last night. I decided to lie down for a nap around 7 and didn't end up waking up till midnight. (I've been oversleeping a lot lately...must be due to the cooler weather)

Oh well, here's something before I go to work.

Wired...or Rewired?

I'll be going out to the club(s) tonight. As much as I dislike the dramafest that is IGUN, I've been invited to take pictures of the Dark Carnival that is going to be taking place.

Odds are I'll have more pictures like this one by the end of the night. Hopefully better than this one...

"I drank what?" -Socrates

While at work today I realized that I should do my best to keep this blog free of politics.

There's enough drama going on in the world and I'd rather do my part to provide a little escape from said drama...

So, in an effort to reduce some of the world's stress...I present some images from my vacation to jamaica. (the owner of the company I work for paid for the cruise to reward us for good sales last summer)

Actually, the first shot is of Ft Lauderdale the night before the cruise started...

The second image is a view of the beach we visited during the first week of december...it made me wonder how much it'd cost to start a photography business on Grand Cayman island.

The third image is a small part of Green Grotto Cave on Jamaica. At one time part of it was used as a dance club/bar...

Something before work

Not a whole lot to say right now. I'm eating breakfast and should be leaving for work in about ten minutes. Just thought I'd share an image or two of my own creation...

Blawg?

Honestly, I'm going through a rough time right now.

See, my sorta girlfriend was going to move up here from Baltimore in June. (at which point she'd stop being my sorta girlfriend and become my girlfriend) But, a week before the move, she was in a car accident that left her with a broken collar bone and some stitches. This was followed up with a freak run-in that broke a bone in her hand. Then, her niece had to undergo surgery to correct a problem she had when she was born with the bones in her skull already fused together. And to add insult to injury, she was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer with a cluster of small tumors at the bottom of her brain and the top of the spinal cord.

She's undergone daily chemo/radiation therapy for over a month now only to find out it hasn't been helping much. She will have to undergo another surgery and more intense treatment...

And here I sit...eight hours away and completely helpless to do anything for her. Even if all I could do was hold her in my arms I'd feel I was doing some sort of good...

The pictures in this post are from my visit to Baltimore last summer. She took me to this place because she felt I would enjoy taking pictures there...

It's been a while...

It's been a long time since I've posted anything here. (yeah, this is stating the blatantly obvious...but it's fun sometimes)

A lot has happened in the last 18 months.

I've graduated from The Hallmark Institute of Photography in Turners Falls, Ma. With a commercial emphasis portfolio.

I moved back to Toledo, Ohio because my financial situation didn't allow me to go anywhere but back to living with my parents.

I went back to my old job of producing leather goods to pay my bills.

Started paying my $650 a month student loan bill.

Fell into a depression caused by being in my 30s and living with my parents.

And I'm currently working hard to get back into creating images worthy of sharing.

I'm going to try and make a point of stopping by here at least once a day to put something in here...it may not always be fun, interesting, or worthwhile...but I want to share something more often than I have been.

For starters, here are some images from after I graduated last summer...
